The mission of the Swan Valley Youth Outdoor Education Rendezvous (YOER) is to expose young people within the Seeley/Swan community to the skills necessary to enhance their outdoor experience while inspiring the next generation to pass on time honored traditions so vital to our rural culture.
WHO: Local youth ranging from 3rd grade students (8 years of age) to graduating Seniors in high school. Parents or Guardians are encouraged to attend the classes especially with junior/elementary school attendees.
WHAT: One full day of one and a half hour educational seminars taught by local volunteers knowledgeable in outdoor skills.
WHEN: To be held annually in June. This year’s event will be Saturday, June 28, 2025.
WHERE: The event will be held at the Condon Community American Legion Ball Field located at the north end of the USFS air strip.
WHY: To expose young people within the Seeley/Swan community to the skills necessary to enhance their outdoor experience while inspiring the next generation to pass on time honored traditions so vital to our rural culture.
